Dr. Ramesh Kolluru and Glenn Gibeson are attending the conference in Atlanta. On April 21, Dr. Kolluru will present an overview of the Louisiana Business Emergency Operations Center(LA BEOC) portal (labeoc.org), which NIMSAT developed and maintains.

At the conference, the Governor's Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness (GOHSEP) will receive the 2011 National Hurricane Conference Outstanding Achievement Award for the LA BEOC.  The award is given based on an "innovative achievement” related to hurricane preparedness and serves as a model to others.
